Tabitha Coates
I received my Ph.D. in Education and Human Resource Studies with a specialization in Organization Performance and Change from Colorado State University. I received my M.S. degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Baruch College.
My research focuses on the meaning of work, organization development, Generation Y/Millennials in the workplace, generational differences, and phenomenology. I have published articles in peer-reviewed journals on topics such as the meaning of work for Generation Y employees, scenario planning, and building effective teams.
I have taught courses on action research, assessing change interventions, planning and implementing change interventions, diagnosing organizations, and the foundations of human resource development. I have worked in higher education, banking, and human resources.
My passion is continuing to understand the meaning of work, and ultimately how it informs overall meaning in our lives.
